DISNEY TRIP part 3
Tuesday morning we stayed at the hotel and had a relatively calm wakeup time. We left for Downtown Disney around noon and had lunch at T-Rex, which is a dinosaur-themed restaurant. They have a jungle area, an ice-age area and an underwater area. Each area has fossils and/or animatronic creatures to keep you company as you eat. Every twenty minutes there's a "meteor shower", and all the lights flash and sounds boom and the ceiling changes color. It's actually pretty cool.
Then we headed on out to Hollywood Studios. We went to the Voyage with the Little Mermaid attraction which is a combination of live-action, movie, lasers and tactile interaction (bubbles and water are sprayed at various times). That was a lot better than I expected. Then we went to the Muppetvision 3D show, which was also a mix of film, live-action and water/bubbles. We finished the day by visiting the American Idol experience. I must say, I'm no American Idol fan, but the show was cool. They hold auditions in the park and go through the same process as the show. The audience sits in a very realistic set and votes on the performers, while caricaturish judges voice their opinions. The woman we voted for won, and the kids got her autograph afterwards! We were all getting a bit ready to leave, so we did. We took a quick dip in the pool before dinner and bed. Next is Epcot!
