DISNEY TRIP part 2
Monday morning, the ladies left the hotel and went to the Magic Kingdom for the Cinderella Breakfast, in which you eat breakfast amongst the company of Disney's most famous princesses. Allie had a great time and got some autographs and photographs. After the breakfast, Allie and Meme rode Cinderella's Golden Carousel twice, then it was off to the Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique. It's a fancy kind of spa for little girls to get their hair and makeup done. After getting sprayed, glittered and made up, it was off to another meet and greet, where Allie met some more princesses. Then it was on to the Mad Hatter's Teacup ride.
While all this was going on, the men went off to the Hollywood Studios park. We met Chip and Dale and Sam got their autographs. We liked how the two of them playfully fought with each other. Then we went to a Toy Story photo op area, where you can pose in different scenes from Toy Story and take a photo. At the end of that were Buzz and Woody. Sam got their autographs, which was very funny; Buzz stamped the book a dozen times, while Woody was trying to wrestle it away from him. Woody then crossed out Buzz's autograph and wrote his own several times before Buzz took it away from HIM. You had to be there. We went on the Star Tours ride and saw the Indiana Jones stunt spectacular. Then it was time to join the ladies by taking a bus to a monorail to the Magic Kingdom. We all met up, had lunch at Pinnochio's Village Haus. I was expecting beer and sausage, but we had pizza and chicken nuggets. Then it was off to the It's A Small World ride, which was actually better than I expected. It's a whimsical tour of the countries of the world through colorful puppets and sets. At that point we decided to head home. The clouds were gathering and we did NOT want to risk another wet day. As soon as we headed out, we were blocked by the Main Street Parade, in which every single character (Ed. note from Kat - every single one except Jasmine - never saw her the whole freakin day!) comes marching, singing, waving and dancing through the main street of the park. It was cool, but it blocked us in until it was over. It began raining as soon as the parade ended. It was pretty light, but it brought back bad memories. We finally got out of there. We came back to the hotel and as soon the rain stopped for good, the kids and I headed to the pool, until it began to rain again. We stayed in the hotel and had spaghetti for dinner in our room.
